A landmark Stanford Digital Economy Lab study led by economist Erik Brynjolfsson found that employment among 22- to 25-year-olds in AI-exposed occupations has fallen 19 percentage points below where it would be expected to be, while experienced workers in the same fields show no comparable decline.
